UNCA (United Nations Correspondents Association) celebrates its 71st anniversary and is doing so with an outdoor garden party in the Glass Building at the U.N. on June 19.
The opening speech will be reserved for the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres.
The “IT’S Italian System” True Italian Food and Wine desk will be set up for the occasion, with the goal of sharing the excellence of Made in Italy products on this special and international evening.
“It is our great pleasure to take part in such a prestigious event,” declares Marco de Ceglie, board member of the North America Olive Oil Association and coordinator of the “IT’S Italian System” desk. “Italy is an undisputed world reference point in the food and wine sector.
For us at the NAOOA, this is a truly important week coinciding with the fourth edition of the Olive Oil Conference, which sees us organizers and leading figures.
The association,” de Ceglie continues,“has an indispensable role and is the institutional reference point supporting a product with fundamental healthful properties for consumers.
For the first time in the unique framework of New York and close to the Fancy Food Show, we will have the opportunity to discuss the value and quality of olive oil.
We’re very proud,”de Ceglie concludes,“to start this “long week” from the U.N. office in support of a prestigious event like the one being organized perfectly by the United Nations Correspondents Association.”
